Charged with the noble but corrupting task of assessing the anomalies and aberrations seized by their organization from its enemies, Inquisitors are one of the most essential yet mistrusted elements of the Order's ancient apparatus.
~ GATE Compendium

Lab Rat is a neutral creature found in the Facilities. They begin to appear in the facility (most notably the Office Sector) as the player progress.

Behavior

The Lab Rat can be seen in various parts in the facility, observing or searching for something. In contrast to other Order soldiers, the Lab Rat will flee rather than engage in combat, but will sometimes attempt to fight back in a pinch.

Like other Order soldiers the Lab Rat will attack out of self-defense against non-Order enemies.

Combat

Unlike most enemies the Lab Rat will attempt to flee when spotting the player, therefore it is best to sneak up to it from behind and use a powerful weapon to kill him. The Lab Rat will occasionally attempt to fight back with a single, powerful swipe attack which will inflict heavy knock-back.

  • The Lab Rat emits radiation (1 r/sec) in a small radius around it, so protection from radiation when fighting up close should be considered to avoid contamination.
  • While fleeing, the player can track its location by observing the radiation particles and trail of items left behind.
