Abiotic Factor requires the player to complete a variety of minigames to complete actions such as learning recipes, defecating and sleeping. Each minigame has unique mechanics, usually related to the action being performed.
The minigames currently available are:
- Research Minigame: required to learn some crafting recipes, involves a small puzzle where materials need to be put into corresponding slots.
- Sleeping Minigame: speeds up the sleep duration when using a bed, involves a running minigame where the player needs to jump over pixelated Pests, every successful jump gives bonus fatigue relief.
- Defecation Minigame: speeds up toilet usage to regain Continence, involves timing a button press on a moving bar, hitting green or yellow gives bonus continence relief.
- Fishing Minigame: catch Fish in most bodies of water, involves reeling in a catch by tiring it out and using bait.
