Dodge Strategy: Timed Dodge: Wait for the animation (raising arm, launching energy blast) before side stepping.
Melee Attack:
Range: Short range (1-2 storage crates)
Dodge Strategy: Preemptive Dodge: Maintain a distance greater than 2 storage crates, or dodge backwards/opposite direction when the Monk crouches and raises it's arm.
Speed: Fast, cannot be reacted to.
Apocalyptic Mode
In Apocalyptic difficulty, Energy Blast Attacks now fire three times in a steady rhythm during the same charge time, making their attacks far more devastating. Since dodging the attack now requires the player to constantly be moving to the side, getting caught in a bad spot — like a narrow corridor or with multiple Monks in different positions — now means you will get hit with potentially three (or more) armor piercing hits.
Movement:
Patrols: The Exor Monk roams a designated area.
Teleportation: Teleports to safe distance after using energy blast attack or melee attack.
Defeating the Exor Monk:
Due to its tendency to move away, teleport and attack with energy blasts, it is recommended to use ranged weapons against it. However, using melee weapons is also perfectly viable, as it's possible to dodge the blasts and close the distance, forcing it to use it's melee attack, which can then be dodged or blocked and countered with a melee weapon.
