Tech Scrap

Tech Scrap is a resource item in Abiotic Factor. It is also used to extend power outlets.

Uses

In addition to being a crafting resource, Tech Scrap can also be used to extend power cables. While dragging a cable, a blue or red icon will show onto surfaces - blue indicates that an extension can be placed, red indicates that it's too far. Clicking the mouse when the icon is blue will then place the extension.

Tech Scrap is a common resource often found throughout the game. It can be obtained through a variety of methods such as salvaging certain items or by breaking Monitors, Printers and Hydro Panels.

A good strategy to obtain lots of Tech Scrap is by killing Order enemies and then salvaging the Military Electronics they drop, which then yields 3 Tech Scraps.

Locations with many Monitors or Printers to break for Tech Scrap are:

Office Sector

• Level 2
  • Data Farm
• Level 3
  • Executive Offices

Flathill

• Office areas throughout, but mostly in the Courthouse

Manufacturing West

• Offices in various areas, including the Garage, Shipping, and Caves

Cascade Laboratories

• Level 2
  • In the office area close to where Janet and Abe are
  • Lab overlooking the Lobby
  • Killing Electro-Pests in the Lobby and in the Particle Lab
• Level 3
  • In Adjustment, in the small office space upstairs

Reactors

• In the Mist Reactor area, inside the Supply Room
