Security Robot

The Security Robot is a hostile enemy found within GATE Facilities, notably within Cascade's Office Sector and Manufacturing West.
Appearance
Security Robots are tall, boxy humanoid machines that are mostly grey in color with blue accents. Their upper torso features a red megaphone and outlet, and they have backwards-bending legs. Their left arm is equipped with a three-prong claw, and their right arm is equipped with a taser. On the back, sodas can be seen stored inside a blocky storage unit.
Instead of a head, Security Robots have a large camera eye on their upper torso that produces a yellow searchlight. When a Security Robot is hostile, its searchlight will glow red. Damaging the robot will leave splatters of oil on the floor and on players in melee range.
Behavior
The Security Robot has two modes of behavior, which is dependant on the day/night cycle.
The Security Robot will stay inert inside a Robot Charging Pod during daytime hours. If attacked inside a Pod, a Security Robot will produce a warning sound until it is forced to emerge. It is immediately hostile.
The Security Robot will patrol its sector during the night and is hostile to all entities, Order soldiers, the player and Deployable Objects placed by the player near its patrol path. In the morning, It will attempt to return to its Charging Pod if it finds no new targets.
The Security Robot has a few melee attacks, using its taser arm for combat:
- Thunder Fist: Swings its taser arm, capable of stunning a player briefly.
- Shock Tackle: Quick dash attack initiated at close range; capable of stunning.
- Spin Attack: Extends arms and rapidly spins upper body. Triggered if cornered or surrounded by multiple targets within melee range. High knockback.
Combat Tips
While the Security Robot is a durable and strong enemy for the early game, it has a slow walking pace. It only has melee attacks, which can be dodged by nimble players. This allows the player to effectively use range weapons or escape if needed. Usage of traps or defenses is also helpful, as the Security Robot can be lured towards deployables.
Note that unlike most enemies, their torso reaching 0 health doesn't kill them. When this occurs, further hits will damage their head health pool instead. This means that when hitting one in the torso, they have an effective health of 360. Either hit it in the eye (the body part that counts as its head) or be prepared for a long fight.
- Recommended Weapons:
- Melee:
Makeshift Spear (due to outranging normal attacks)
- Ranged: e.g.
Makeshift Crossbow
- The
Electro-Thrower can output consistent (although low) damage, at a range further than melee weapons can reach.
- Thrown: Two
Mugnades can quickly take out a Security Robot, as long as you keep your distance from the explosion.

- Effective Strategies:
- Setting up deployable base defenses such as
Chopinators and
Tesla Coils near to a robot's Charging Pod and attacking until the robot activates is an effective and relatively risk-free method of destroying Security Robots.
- In order to do this effectively, get a
Chopinator a
Battery (Makeshift) and a
Lever you can make the ultimate contraption to kill them. Just place the Chopinator in front of you, a Lever behind it, and a Battery to power it all. Then, just aggro the bot, run behind the Chopinator, turn it on with the Lever and enjoy your loot.
- Use ranged weapons or the Makeshift Spear to attack from outside the robot's attack range.
- Sidestep to dodge the Shock Tackle.
- Avoid close-quarters combat when there are multiple players to minimize the risk of a Spin Attack.
- On the Level 2 of the Office Sector, an exposed live electric wire hangs loose from the ceiling, close to Reception. Having a Security Robot walk into this wire will repeatedly stun it, and can quickly destroy it as well, allowing players to conserve on defense resources.
- Similarly, the puddle of electrified water in the hallway on Level 3 will easily kill it.
- Setting up deployable base defenses such as
- Should the player choose to avoid the Security Robot's attention, or draw it to attack other enemies, they can equip the
Night Pass.

Notes
- A broken Security Robot can be found in Manufacturing West, inside the Garage section of the map, close to the kitchen. Despite the Charging Pod nearby, the robot does not respawn.
