Patois Rifle is a weapon in Abiotic Factor.

Uses

Patois Rifle requires the player character to have the Bio-Mimic Armwraps (Buff) or equipping a Bio-Fusion Imitator to use. The recipe for the armwraps is unlocked upon reaching Accuracy level 15.

The Patois Rifle fires in a 3-round burst, rather than fully automatic fire, with fairly strong recoil over the 3 shots.

Notes

It is possible to acquire the Bio-Mimic Armwraps earlier in multiplayer if another player achieves Accuracy Level 15 and creates the armwraps. However, using the Patois Rifle is impossible even with the armwraps equipped, as Accuracy 7 is still required. If the player attempts to fire, a message "You aren't confident enough to use this item" appears, and nothing happens.

Trivia

  • The Patois Rifle is based on the French FAMAS F1 assault rifle.
  • The Patois Rifle may be a reference to Metal Gear Solid, due to it being used by winter soldiers in a snowy secret location.
  • Patois is a word derived from old French, meaning a nonstandard regional dialect.
