Uses

It is a vital component in crafting Nyxshade Seed used to trade with Warren in the Office Sector for GATE Security Key. One Essence is also used to repair one of the "Flow Control Modules" required to open the portal to Canaan within the Particle Labs area of Cascade Laboratories.

Night Essence is dropped by the Reaper when exposed to x-rays (lasers will not drop the item). It can also be obtained by finding them in The Night Realm or by butchering Inkfish.

Trading

Night Essence can also be traded with Warren Bunning to obtain a Magnetic Alloy.
