Gravity Dampener
Gravity Dampener is an item in Abiotic Factor.
When held, it applies the Gravity Cube buff, which decreases the gravity affecting the player, allowing them to jump farther and take less fall damage.

Gravity Dampener can be obtained in Containment Block Dirac in Cascade Laboratories, in one of the holding cells.
It can also be obtained from Marion through the exchange of a Sigil of the Hearth after completing Flathill when he becomes a wandering trader.
If the "Simple Loot Respawning" sandbox setting is enabled, the Gravity Dampener can respawn. As long as a player is nearby, a portal noise will occasionally play, followed by a blue flash, and the Gravity Dampener will respawn in its containment cell. This means an infinite number of dampeners can be obtained, including on singleplayer.
Trivia
- Before 0.10.0, the Gravity Dampener was able to respawn, even if Simple Loot Respawning was off. This was a temporary mechanic before the Marion trade was added, mostly for multiplayer so that multiple players could obtain the Gravity Dampener and thus the
Dangling Gravity Cube.
