Dr. Derek Manse is the Director of Research of the GATE Cascade Research Facility. The majority of Holograms found throughout the facility were recorded by him.
Lore
Dr. Manse can be heard through logs in hologram form going over previous experiments. At one point he has a back and forth through email with Dr. Enderson about the Leyak's escape from containment.
He is aware of the Order observing the GATE's activities, referring to them as superstitious idiots.

- Manse's age is 52 years old, as confirmed by Zag.
- There are subtle hints in their in-game dialogue that Manse and Lenora Riggs are more than just colleagues. As of yet, it can't be determined whether they are relatives, close friends, or in a relationship.
- It is implied that Manse had a prior relationship with Dr. Cahn. However, it is unknown if they were coworkers or friends.
