Uses
The main purpose of the X-Ray Lamp is to force the Leyak to disappear, while dropping Leyak Essence at the same time. The X-Ray Lamp and X-Ray Tower stop the Leyak in its tracks, even if it has begun attacking the player.
It can also be used against the Reaper to make it drop Night Essence, although with a cooldown on how often you can make the Reaper drop further essences. Use the X-Ray Lamp with caution against the Reaper, however, since it will make it attack the player instead of grabbing them.
The Darkwater Beast can be scared off with the X-Ray Lamp if you find it being too uncomfortably close.
The X-Ray Lamp works similarly to using a Flashlight as a light source but outputs light as four circular beams.
