The Synchrotron
The Synchrotron is a massive particle accelerator located within Manufacturing West. It allowed Dr. Suan Tengku to discover a new form of bosonic matter, which is the basis for portal technology.
Players have to find and talk to Dr. Sarah Frake in the area surrounding The Synchrotron to listen to her plan for a way into the next sector. The plan involves activating The Synchrotron to create a singularity, allowing everyone to escape via Cascade Laboratories. To activate the Synchrotron, the three pumps within Manufacturing West need to be repaired. Each pump is located at the end of the Red, Yellow, and Green pipes visible throughout the sector, connecting back to the Synchrotron itself.
Each repair material is acquired directly from trading with The Blacksmith after talking to Dr. Frake:
- Fibre Optic Cable, Diode and Optic Lens.
