Why Did I Get the Recipe?

I had just finished the game on my save earlier in the day. The recipe dropped when I struck a rat with a Lightning Spear after shooting him several times with the Grinder and pursuing him for the duration of a couple rooms. It takes 2 Jailbroken CPUs, 20 Electronic scrap, 2 Refined Carbon and 4 Oil. Any idea why this recipe dropped for me while purusing the rat? Note-worthy: I have the Research Pack equipped, I have 16k sprint exp. I have 15.9k Strength exp.

Are the bionic legs good enough to leave out a set bonus? I do a lot of sprinting since I have many small projects going and I'd rather use shortcuts than the vehicles but I really like the bouncing bullets from forge armour. MerpMaster (talk) 23:16, 22 May 2024 (UTC)

I believe mine unlocked the same way. But I would imagine for a new player, it'll unlock like most other items in the game. Which is after the player has obtained all the materials to craft the item. I assume because the rat drops one of the crafting materials, it unlocks when we're near it. But that's just my guess. Though given BoxFigures response, maybe it just unlocks automatically for longtime players a couple minutes after we log in. Not sure about your other concern though.
