Rutger Strauss is a senior member of the GATE Cascade Research Facility Defense Team. He was involved in the containment measures surrounding Flathill and is indirectly responsible for the presumed death of the town's conspiracy theorist.
He is heavily implied to be a traitor or spy cooperating with The Order. An email mentions an excursor, and his activities indicate sabotage.
Actions
Several Emails between him and other employees at GATE Cascade Research Facility indicate that he has been working against GATE's best interest. He has:
- At some point, directed the Defense Team away from the Large Surface Elevator
- Stonewalled Moira Shepherd's investigation into "Data leakage."
- Draped the targets at the Firing Range in Labcoats.
