Notes
- Despite the buff descriptions, the movement speed effect depends on absorbed radiation OR the rate of incoming radiation, regardless of its source.
- While incoming radiation does have an effect on the movement speed bonus, it only applies if the absorbed radiation is proportionally lower, so absorbed radiation will overtake it eventually. 1 r/sec is equivalent to approximately 13.3 rads in terms of the effect.
- At the maximum radiation level safe to have, just shy of Radiation Sickness at 34.99 rads, the Reactor Armor Set set bonuses allow movement speed greater than with the Exor Armor Set and Bionic Legs combined. Comparing the two, the Reactor Armor Set requires more active upkeep and its speed bonus decays over time, but it has a greater armor value, and the health regeneration that Gamma God offers.
- In practical terms, the best effects you can get without Radiation Sickness are +25% movement speed with Gamma Converter or +43% movement speed and 4.25x health regen with Gamma God.
- Since absorbed radiation can only increase or decrease, the way to get the most out of the set is to increase your radiation to the 30-34 range, then carry Kizz Cola (very low radioactivity but does not decay) in the Research Pack and consume an item that gives Rad Resistant. This will slow your rate of radiation gain as much as possible. You will have to consume Iodine Tablets, Gastro Medicine, Pentetic Acid Syringe, or Green Fish Liver occasionally to reduce rads by 10, though the slower your radiation increases, the less often you need to take them.
