Jetpack
Jetpack is a gear item in Abiotic Factor. It allows the player to fly while also serving as a backpack with a total of 24 slots.

Usage
When entering a Portal World for the first time, the Jetpack will not function until fully calibrated to the new portal environment. Players cannot use the Jetpack until they have completed the Portal World at least once.
The player can press the jump key while in the air to be pushed upwards, allowing the player to jump higher and farther and slow their descent to avoid fall damage. Flying slowly depletes the battery charge.
Flying also quickly fills a red heat bar that goes down when touching the ground, limiting the flight time of a single burst. However, with the Dangling Gravity Cube and pressing and releasing jump with a certain rhythm, it's possible to prolong the heat bar and fly much farther and higher until the battery is drained.
If the Jetpack overheats, the player must return to solid ground to allow the Jetpack to cool off before it can be used again. Important Note: This only counts if you land after the overheat has started. If you land just before the heat meter maxes out, the Jetpack will not be useable until you jump or fall and touch the ground again.
The Jetpack completely changes movement in the game, allowing the player to skip certain areas and preventing fall damage in almost every circumstance.
Trivia
- The distant pillars in Far Garden can be reached and are solid, but traveling too far from the main area will cause all terrain to disappear. Some of the far pillars even have Anteverse Wheat, which can be harvested. The area around the portal to Far Garden has a kill plane and can cause corpse items to be lost.
- The elevator in the Furniture Store can be skipped by flying to the top, saving time and effort on return journeys.
- Like the Long Jump Pack, the Jetpack will display the gadget measuring battery level and current heat when held in the player's hands without needing to be equipped to their backpack slot. Unlike the Long Jump Pack, it cannot be utilized while held like this, which seems to be a bug.
