Description

IC-0614 appears to be an odd geological formation; however, further tests have determined it to be some sort of preserved fossil.

When IC-0614 was discovered in 1989, it was due to an odd current generated in the vicinity of an oil rig off the Gulf of Mexico. By the time GATE operatives arrived on the scene, three civilians had already been transported into the subject. A further two of the sent Gatekeepers were lost before IC-0614 was safely contained.

The subject's connection to the events of 1981 hasn't yet been validated; however, it has been assigned as part of the 1981 Project for further study at this time.

Containment Protocols

IC-0614 should never be touched with either bare hands or while wearing gloves. The only thing permitted to make contact with IC-0614 is the robotic arm installed within the chamber.

Dr. Derek Manse reporting, Research Director, GATE Cascade Research Facility. I've been asked to provide a report on the recent incidents involving IC Six-One-Four. Funeral preparations have been made for the three workers who were unfortunately lost when Six-One-Four was discovered. The Gatekeepers have also been on our case about the loss of two of their members. As unfortunate as it is, that just comes with the territory of their work. Regardless, you must never touch Six-One-Four, as it has taken more than enough lives as it is.

The subject has already faced limited study under Dr. Manse's authority and we have received an email from a remote Shadowgate account that seems to have come from inside IC Six-One-Four. These lives Dr. Manse thought were gone seem to have been instead transferred to a new realm inside the stone. If my hunch is correct, with a proper communications system, we may be able to set up a proper communication network within and establish a base within Anteverse CXCII.
